Library Guidelines
Welcome to the Library! What is a Library today in this new digital age? A Library is a place where a variety of resources are collected and organized for people to find information. In our Library, we have both fiction & non fiction books, magazines, and access to the Internet through the Library Computer Lab.
Borrowing Books
- Students may use the Library during any Period 8 Study Hall to sign out books.
- Students may come to the Library, with a teacher’s permission, during the last five (5) or ten (10) minutes of any period to sign out a book. The exception is Period 5.
- Books are signed out for three (3) weeks.
- Students may borrow two (2) books at a time.
- The Library does not collect fines for overdue books. However, students are strongly encouraged to return their books on time.
- Students are responsible for the books they borrow. Books need to be returned in good condition.
- If a book is lost or damaged, students are responsible for purchasing a replacement copy. Please see Mrs. Alexander.
- Please be respectful of the other people using the Library when you are browsing for books. Quiet voices and good manners are always welcome in the Library
Using the Library Computer Lab
- Students may use the Library Computer Lab during Period 8 Study Hall.
- For Study Island activities, use Room 62. If there is no more space in Room 62, then come to the Library Computer Lab.
- Students who have research or typing assignments will have priority over Study Island activities.
